Various approaches are tested to pattern conductors, based on screen printing of 1) conducting polymer or 2) stretchable Ag ink and 3) laser scribing of laser-induced graphene (LIG). Their mechanical, surface, and moisture barrier properties-relevant for their application in soft and wearable electronics-are first investigated. In this study, some thin elastomeric sheets-two forms of medical grade thermoplastic polyurethanes and a medical grade silicone-are considered as suitable substrates. A suitable strategy for creating soft yet robust and stretchable interconnections in the aforementioned technological applications is to use print-related techniques to pattern conductors on top of elastomer substrates.
Institute of Solid State Physics, NAWI Graz, Graz University of Technology, Graz, AustriaĪs printed electronics is evolving toward applications in biosensing and wearables, the need for novel routes to fabricate flat, lightweight, stretchable conductors is increasing in importance but still represents a challenge, limiting the actual adoption of ultrathin wearable devices in real scenarios. If you also consider that Print Conductor can send your printouts to virtual printers and specially, that you can download it for free, you shouldn't have any doubts about how ideal it is to have a utility like this.Kirill Keller, David Grafinger and Francesco Greco* To print documents this is an ideal option. Simply drag documents to the program's list to add them to the printer queue, that you will be able to organize however you want. The interface makes it easy to handle the application and shows the document's status by means of a progress bar. The software is compatible with any printer that you have installed on your computer, and simplifies the access to all the configuration options available. It is also possible to convert documents to TIFF, GIFF and JPEG and print by means of virtual printers to transform documents into graphic files. The application is compatible with 16 different formats: PDF, DOC, WRI, WPS, RTF, TXT, XLS, PPT, PPS, POT, VSD, DWG, DXF, SNP, HTM and HTML. The run button will take care of the rest. You'll simply have to launch the application, adjust the printer's settings and specify the files. Once installed, Print Conductor will easily allow you to print documents.
